 Karate is not a competitive art, nor an art of fighting with empty hands. It is Karatedo. Why "Do," [way] and not "Jutsu" [art]? This is the point that I want Karate instructors to think about. Kenjutsu did not become Kendo just by changing one word. Neither did Jujitsu become Judo simply by changing the name.
